Andrew Quarmby is a well-accomplished angler with an excellent track record of winning festivals/competitions, including a win at Maver Pairs. Here he explains why he loves using the new XK55 pole floats from Middy:

"I really like these floats. They have good, visible tips and they're as strong as an ox. They take the shotting they state and they sit lovely in the water - the eyes don't get stuck in the surface tension.

"I have mostly been using the series 1m, 1 and 2m recently. 1m is awesome for shallow fishing. 2m is spot-on for fishing tight across on snake lakes etc, whereas the 1 is ideal for deeper water - I've used them and caught some giant fish!

"I don't particularly fish paste that much, but a friend of mine came along with me and tested a 4x12 and 4x14. He said they were "the best" paste floats he's used and has subsequently ordered 10 of each size. I've caught boat loads of carp and had a few come off, floats come flying back etc, but no sign of any breakages!"
